January Highlander Cow Step by Step

The first block is a big undertaking. I hope these photos will help you through it!


First step is to trace the pieces onto HeatNBond Lite. Bubble cut around the pieces and press onto the back of the correct fabrics. Notice on the body piece, we bubble cut on the inside of the line as well as the outside. This will reduce some of the bulk with all of the layers. We recommend Karen K Buckley Perfect Scissors to cut the pieces out on the line.


Now we can start putting the pieces together. Use these pictures as a guide to adding each section.



Now you can add the whole cow in one piece to the background with the hills already stitched down. Stitch around each color either with matching thread or with a dark brown to show seperation in his hairy head.
